Istanbul and Beyond: Selected Projects of Tabanlioglu Architects

Centred on a film installation, the exhibition brings their work to life, focussing on 19 of their domestic projects under four themes: media, boulevard, culture and beyond. Media relates to the radical restructing of this industry, form printing plants to TV studios. Boulevard shows how pioneering residential developments can sit alongside the corporate skyscrapers of the main axis to Istanbul's central business district. Culture reveals how their renovation of the Ataturk Cultural Centre from 1956 and their project for the first Modern Museum of Turkey, has seeded major regeneration.
