Mon-Sat 10am-5pm except Tues 10am-9pm Venue: Gallery 1, RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London Description: Explore key projects from leading Istanbul-based practice, Tabanlioglu Architects. Centred on a film installation, the exhibition brings their work to life, focussing on 19 of their domestic projects under four themes: media, boulevard, culture and beyond. Media relates to the radical restructing of this industry, form printing plants to TV studios. Boulevard shows how pioneering residential developments can sit alongside the corporate skyscrapers of the main axis to Istanbul's central business district. Culture reveals how their renovation of the Ataturk Cultural Centre from 1956 and their project for the first Modern Museum of Turkey, has seeded major regeneration. Finally, Beyond looks at works from stadiums to major urban complexes in both East and West Turkey. Fees: Free admission RIBA Calendar
