Organized by the Faculty of Creative Industries at the University of Saint Joseph, with institutional support from the Architects Association of Macau and financial support from the Macau Foundation, “The Next Generation” is one-day symposium on the issues and challenges faced in architecture and design education for Macau. Held in conjunction with “Building Dwelling Thinking” (an exhibition of work by USJ Architecture students at Creative Macau gallery from May 23–June 10) and “Design Journey” (an exhibition of work by USJ Design students at 10 Fantasia gallery from June 11–25), this symposium will bring together educators from Asia, Europe, America, and Australasia to discuss the opportunities and challenges for architecture and design education in Macau and the wider Pearl River Delta region.
