Jørn Utzon is one of the best-known architects in the world, with a legacy that has influenced countless others. In this exclusive event to mark the centenary of Utzon’s birth, a panel of renowned Danish architects come together to discuss how Utzon has affected their own practices. This event is part of the Sydney Opera House’s 45 year celebrations, enabled through the generous support of Michael and Manuela Darling.

As part of the celebrations around the centenary of Jørn Utzon’s birth, the Sydney Opera House is hosting an exclusive panel of Danish architects to discuss the influence that their famous compatriot has had on their own work.

How is Utzon regarded in his own country? How is his legacy being preserved, or challenged? Is there a discernable “Utzon style”? This event is a must see for everyone who loves architecture and design, and a unique opportunity to hear from some of Denmark’s most interesting architects in the iconic building which guaranteed Utzon’s enduring international reputation.
