Galerie56 presents “Swedish Grace,” an exhibition in collaboration and co-curated with Sweden’s famed Jackson Design, which will run from November 15 through January 31, 2025.
The exhibition highlights the Swedish Grace movement, which emerged in response to global upheaval, emphasizing simplicity, elegance, and a humane vision for modernity. Notable pieces include works by Gunnar Asplund, Axel Einar Hjorth, Anna Petrus, and Uno Åhrén, alongside the exciting return of Petrus’s monumental table, first showcased at the Metropolitan Museum in 1927.
Since opening, Galerie owner Lee F. Mindel, FAIA has co-curated nine shows with renowned artists and gallerists from all over the world including London's Sarah Myerscough (with members of her team currently working out of the gallery), Paris' Jacques Lacoste, and South Africa’s Southern Guild.
Galerie56 celebrates its two-year anniversary this fall. The inclusive space inspires passersby and invites them to discover a rarefied world of art and design, one which is too often accessible only to a lucky few.
