Today is South Africa’s official Heritage Day, and to celebrate the centenary of its remade Thomas Heatherwick-designed space in the Cape Town Grain Silo (where it has operated since 2017) the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting a full day of activities to coincide with the opening of 'Silo Through the Century: Into the Contemporary.' The infographic exhibition examines the role of the Silo in reflecting contemporary socio-political climate and its as a eventual transformation into a "beacon of change through artistic and curatorial practices." Award-winning musician Mandisi Dyantyisi will wrap things up with a special performance.
