€100,000 prize MICROHOME Kingspan competition jury from Snøhetta, MAD, Zaha Hadid Architects and more

The MICROHOME Kingspan Edition 2024/25 is a prestigious international architecture competition organized by Buildner in collaboration with Kingspan. This competition invites architects and designers to develop a cutting-edge, off-grid microhome within a maximum area of 25 square meters, designed for a young professional couple. With a generous prize pool of €100,000, it offers an exciting platform for participants to explore sustainable and innovative housing solutions.

We would like to introduce you more in-depth to this year’s esteemed jury panel, which includes leading architects and industry experts from renowned global firms:

• Anne Cecilie Haug – Senior architect at Snøhetta, Anne has extensive experience with small-scale projects, including micro-homes and cabins, such as the Fuglemyrhytta and Tungestølen cabins.
• Flora Lee – Associate Partner at MAD Architects, Flora has played a pivotal role in notable projects like the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles and UNIC Residential in Paris.
• Sandra Del Bove – Group Head of Innovation at Kingspan, Sandra spearheads innovation in sustainability, focusing on energy efficiency, decarbonization, and bio-based materials at Kingspan’s IKON innovation hub.
• Brent Trenga – Director of Sustainability at Kingspan Insulated Panels, Brent brings a broad perspective from his background as an architect and construction manager, with a focus on sustainable building practices.
• Silvana Ordinas – Co-founder and partner of Peter Pichler Architecture, Silvana is recognized for her work in contemporary design, including the Future Space Pavilion at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
• Paulo Flores – Director at Zaha Hadid Architects, Paulo holds a master’s degree in parametric and digital design from the Architectural Association in London. His work reflects cutting-edge innovation in architecture, enhanced by his extensive lecturing across Europe, Latin America, and China.
