Insulation specialist Saint-Gobain Isover recently selected eight projects to be shortlisted for the UK final of the Multi-Comfort House Competition.
The subject of the competition is the creative approach to the concept of energy efficient construction for high rise buildings. The aim is to design a multiple-use tower according to Isover Multi-Comfort House definition and with Passive House components. The new tower should become a leading project to achieve new levels of sustainability in Greenwich and in the Central Business District of Lower Manhattan, New York. The student teams (up to 3 in each team) had to produce a design that takes account of both social and economic aspects, as well constructional considerations.
