A glimpse of the Tri Ân Monument finalist entries

By Justine Testado|

Monday, Dec 5, 2016

Earlier this summer, the Tri Ân Foundation from Louisville, Kentucky wanted help from architects worldwide in designing a memorial that honors and expresses the gratitude — or “Tri Ân” in Vietnamese — for the millions of American and Vietnamese soldiers who fought against communist aggression during the Vietnam War.

The competition attracted 128 entries from 29 countries, and three submissions were selected as the stage one finalists earlier this fall. Following further evaluations from the jury, one of these three finalist designs will become the overall winner — which is still yet to be announced, it seems. In the meantime, have a look at the finalist schemes below.

Finalist: Grega Vezjak - Grega Vezjak, Architect | Bilje, Miren-Kostanjevica, Slovenija
