Bringing Cycling Tourism A New Lease of Life

By Sponsor|

Tuesday, Jul 24, 2018

The interconnected web of cycle paths that is the EuroVelo has made it possible for tourist to travel all across Europe by bike. One of the most popular routes - EuroVelo 6 - covers the entire width of Europe from the Atlantic ocean to the Black Sea. With some 4,000 km of ground to cover, Bee Breeders are looking to make the route more accessible with the introduction of a series of rest stop cabins.

The jury panel are looking for simple yet elegant designs, in keeping with the natural surroundings, rather than overly sophisticated projects that have the potential to mar the landscape, as winning designs will be considered for construction as a part of the Bright Blueprint initiative as a way to help support Europe's Velo culture. They will also receive a share of the US $6,000 prize fund.

The European Velo Stops competition is now open, with registrations accepted up until October 16.
