The Festival des Architectures Vives in Montpellier—a weeklong exhibition of site-specific, public art installations that connect private mansions and courtyards typically closed off to the public—took place last month, welcoming over 18,000 visitors. Now in its 13th edition, the theme for this year was "SENcity," exploring the significant contributions of emerging technologies on urban living. From a small courtyard taken over by thousands of golden flowers, to a small garden installation that filters and purifies air, reduces pollution, and produces biomass, energy and food, this year's ten installations push the concept of the present day smart city. Check them out below!
