The MacDowell Colony has awarded fellowships to 87 artists from six countries for the upcoming autumn and early winter residencies. Incoming fellows include architects Edward Ford, Kai Franz, Ryan Ludwig, and Karla Rothstein. Artists were chosen from a pool of 642 applications, with 67 of the final chosen being first-time fellows.

A panel of professionals in each discipline selects fellows based solely on their talent as evidenced by a work sample and project description. Each individual is awarded an average value of $10,000 and is provided with a private studio for up to eight weeks with accommodations and meals.
