Six more winners of 2018 INSIDE World Festival of Interiors announced on Day Two

It's Day Two of the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors at RAI Amsterdam and the remaining six category winners of the global interior design competition were just revealed. In case you missed it, here's our announcement of the Day One winners, as well as the World Architecture Festival Day One winners.

On the final day of the competition, the 10 INSIDE category winners will face off one last time for a chance to be crowned the 2018 World Interior of the Year, the overall winning prize.

Residential Winner: Sunny Apartment by Very Studio and Che Wang Architects

Jury comment: “A refreshing take on spatial organization of a typical unit flat in a Taiwanese housing development in Taichung...A well-researched acoustically designed ceiling which enhances the lightness of this inviting space”.

Residential Highly commended: Lincoln (Brussels, Belgium) by Notan Office

Jury comment: “The existing context, an architecture by Tadao Ando, is respected and a new experience has been created with subtlety. Human sensations are considered: light, bear-footed experience and sitting very close to the floor.”

Civic, Culture & Transport Winner: Australian Embassy by BVN

Jury comment: “Great connection between the urban fabric and the public space with great transition between the Australian and Thai landscape elements.”

Civic, Culture & Transport Highly commended: Lego House (Billund, Denmark) by BIG 

Creative Re-use Winner: Francesc Macia 10 – FM10 by studio mk27

Jury comment: “A former office block transformed in the most elegant, aesthetically pleasing way, with a great respect towards the earlier distinctive design. The reconfiguration has enhanced the original envelope”.

Creative Re-use Highly commended: Space & Time (Melbourne, Australia) by Russell & George

Hotels winner: TSH Campus Barcelona by The Student Hotel Experience Design Team

It's Day Two of the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors at RAI Amsterdam and the remaining six category winners of the global interior design competition were just revealed.
