The Graham Foundation recently granted a total of $462,800 to 63 individual projects for 2019, in support of engaging original ideas that advance our understanding of the built environment. Chosen out of over 500 proposals from around the globe, the winning submissions range from exhibitions to films to performances created by architects, historians, curators, photographers, and more. The Graham Foundation 2019 organization grant recipients will be announced later this year.

“The designed environment continues to be the center of timely, critical debates within art, culture, and society,” said Graham Foundation Director Sarah Herda in a statement. “This year in particular, many of the funded projects are rooted in different forms of political engagement.”
