San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge final registration deadline is approaching!

Since the success of Silicon Valley as a hub for some of the world’s biggest tech giants, San Francisco has become the most expensive city in the United States. With supply constantly lagging behind demand, affordable housing is all but a pipe dream for those looking to live in the city by the bay.

Following the likes of Hong Kong, London and New York, the latest in Bee Breeders’ affordable housing competition series looks for architectural and design solutions to make San Francisco more affordable.

Participants are encouraged to use every ounce of creativity they have in order to create designs that are flexible enough to accommodate a variety of different inhabitants and locations across the Bay Area.

The San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge is open until April 21, 2020, with winners of the US$ 6,000 prize fund to be announced on June 23, 2020. Selected winning designs will also be included in the upcoming print publication from ARCHHIVE BOOKS on the topic of affordable housing, due for print in Winter 2020.
