Tobias Schwarzer, initiator of the best architects award shares, "It is impressive that the high quality of the projects submitted is reflected in all areas, regardless of the size and prestige of the respective assignment. Attention to detail, a consistent implementation of the architectural concept, and a sensitive engagement with the surroundings characterize many of these works. Another striking feature is the large number of renovation and conversion projects that upgrade existing buildings with sometimes unusually creative concepts or new function."
