Flyway City: Architecture for a Flourishing Ecosystem and Chicago's Living Habitat | June 11 – January 3 and 15, respectively, Chicago

"Flyway City: Architecture for a Flourishing Ecosystem reveals how people can take action to create healthier urban habitats and save birds from colliding with building glass — a problem that currently kills more than 1 billion birds each year in the United States. Designed and co-curated by Studio Gang, the architecture and urban design practice founded in Chicago and led by world-renowned architect Jeanne Gang, Flyway City features architectural models and mock-ups, original illustrations, photography, building materials and interactive media, along with bird-related artifacts from local Chicago organizations and individuals."

"[Chicago's Living Habitat] is a story of people and nature. Visitors will come to understand that the health of these landscapes is the result of decades of decisions — what has been protected, what has been lost and what is now being restored and created. Today, only a small portion of the region remains protected, placing greater importance on how we invest in and care for the land going forward. Chicago’s Living Habitat is presented by Openlands in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Center and Studio Gang, connecting the design of our cities with the landscapes that make them possible."

The Century of Gehry | June 12 – December 30, Porto

"Frank Gehry (1929–2025) is universally recognized as one of the great masters of contemporary architecture. His ability to transform ordinary circumstances into opportunities for togetherness — where even transitional spaces can be interpreted as a single language of movement and emotion—responds to the spirit of each place and the skyline of each city, while simultaneously bringing about some of the most profound paradigm shifts of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. [...] The Century of Gehry exhibition is organized by the Serralves Foundation and curated by its Director of Architecture, António Choupina, in partnership with Gehry Partners and in collaboration with the Getty."
