Making Home—Smithsonian Design Triennial | November 2 – August 10, New York City

"Featuring 25 site-specific, newly commissioned installations, Making Home—Smithsonian Design Triennial explores design’s role in shaping the physical and emotional realities of home across the United States, US Territories, and Tribal Nations. The exhibition is the seventh offering in the museum’s Design Triennial series, which was established in 2000 to address the most urgent topics of the time through the lens of design."

ACADIA 2024: Designing Change | November 11–16, Calgary & Banff

"ACADIA 2024, themed 'Designing Change,' looks at computational design as an active agent of change in the built environment. As computational design evolves from theoretical concepts to practical implementations, it redefines conventional architectural practices and introduces new operational modes in both the physical world and new realities. The 2024 ACADIA conference spotlights the emergence of 'archipreneurs'—innovators who combine digital design with entrepreneurial ventures, such as consulting, digital fabrication, or startups at the crossroads of technology, architecture, and fabrication."

Greenbuild 2024: Built to Scale | November 12–15, Philadelphia

"The theme for Greenbuild 2024 spotlights the green building community’s commitment to wholesale market transformation, bringing proven green building solutions and strategies to global communities. 'Built to Scale' connects our work to the urgent need to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen resilience, protect human and ecosystem health, and advance equity across the entire built environment."

BAQ2024 - Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito | November 18–22, Quito

"This edition, under the theme 'CONVERGENCES: Architecture Landscape' will focus on debating the potential of architecture in the construction of the urban landscape. For one week, BAQ2024 promises to be a meeting point for experts in architecture and urbanism, students, and professionals. Through discussions, keynote lectures, round tables, and interviews, it will provide a space for participation and debate that will enrich contemporary practice in our profession."

Zaha Hadid: Paper Museums | Until November 16, London

"The exhibition offers a rare insight into how paper reliefs were important to the design and presentation strategies for three of Zaha’s key museum designs: Contemporary Arts Center (CAC), Cincinnati, USA (1997-2003), MAXXI: Museum of XXI Century Arts, Rome, Italy (1998-2009) and Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, Qatar (1997, unrealised). These projects represent a period from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, when ZHA began realising Zaha’s architectural vision and unveiling the development of her radical ideas revolving around site and space."

Difficult Sites: Architecture Against the Odds | Until March 29, London

"Our latest free exhibition explores remarkable feats of architectural achievement in the face of tricky terrain, awkward urban plots, challenging remodels, and more. From the 1900s to today, it delves into over twenty complex, unusual, and dynamic builds across the UK. Including work from history’s most renowned architects Neave Brown, Grimshaw Architects, and Lord Norman Foster as well as contemporary practices of Tonkin Liu, KnoxBhavan, and Carmody Groarke the exhibition highlights the pioneering spirit at the heart of great architecture. Through original drawings, photography, models, and plans it offers an eye-opening look at how resilient and creative practitioners are in realising the inconceivable against the odds."

The World of Tim Burton | Until April 21, London

"Delve into the fantastical world of Tim Burton in this major exhibition exploring his remarkable creations and key collaborations with designers. [...] This major exhibition will invite visitors into his world through an exploration of the design of his unique aesthetic. While most well-known for his cinematic work, this show will display the full extent of his production as an illustrator, painter, photographer and author, as well as exploring key collaborations with designers. As a multi-disciplinary artist, his creations extend beyond the limits of mediums and formats."
