2018 BSA Unbuilt Architecture and Design

What projects are eligible?

Unbuilt architectural designs of any project type are eligible including purely theoretical projects and unbuilt client-sponsored projects (buildings, interiors, infrastructure, monuments, etc.).

Projects under construction or otherwise apparently assured of construction are ineligible.

Projects honored by prior Unbuilt Architecture and Design Awards juries are ineligible, as is work done by this year’s jurors or their firms.

Who is eligible to submit?

Anyone is eligible to submit. Massachusetts AIA member firms receive special pricing.

Where must eligible projects be located?

Projects and designers may be located anywhere in the world.

When must have eligible projects been built?

Projects must have been completed between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2017.

How do I submit my project?

Projects must be submitted both physically and digitally. Submissions are due by 4:00 PM on the deadline (June 22, 2018).
