The AIA|DC Emerging Architects Committee is pleased to present the fifth annual Thesis Showcase, a presentation and corresponding exhibition for emerging professionals to feature their architecture thesis to practitioners and the public in Washington, DC. This program aims to bridge the gap between recent graduates and practicing architects by providing an opportunity for practitioners to view student work emerging from today’s architecture schools.
Of the submissions received, four finalists will be selected to speak for 10 minutes each at the opening presentation at the District Architecture Center in Washington DC. A moderator will solicit questions from the audience to facilitate a conversation that draws connections between thesis projects. Before and after the presentations, a networking reception will offer opportunities for conversation between the presenters and attendees. The exhibition will showcase finalist and honorable mention projects at the DAC from September 11th through October 26th. It is a great way to get your work recognized!
Submissions are not limited to Washington DC residents. All are invited to participate from across the US and around the world!
