Welcome to NYC Kickoff Event

The Welcome to NYC initiative envisions the creation of a space which represents New York City's values of diversity, inclusion, and opportunity for all.
In a time where building walls and demonizing immigrants has become a prominent part of the country’s political discourse, this center would be a physical space representing New York City’s historic tradition as a beacon of opportunity for new immigrants and residents of all backgrounds. This kickoff forum event and reception will feature talks by representatives from an architecture firm, city government and a non-profit organization. But it is mostly an open discussion for anyone in the city, whether recently arrived or a long time resident. What would have been a great resource to have when you first arrived in New York? What did you discover years later that you wish you had know when you first moved to the city?
Come and share your voices in a forum to discuss what a Welcome to NYC center could be. Space is limited so please RSVP for admission. FREE www.nycwelcome.eventbrite.com
