From the legacy of Constructivism to the iconic status of Tatlin’s Tower, the influence of the Russian Avant-Garde still reverberates in contemporary design and culture. Now one hundred years on from the Russian Revolution, it’s hard to overestimate its impact. In this event, world leading architects Richard Rogers and Boris Bernaskoni discuss the influence of the Avant Garde on their practices and the world of architecture today.
Curated with Mariana Haseldine, this event begins with two keynote lectures, in which Richard Rogers and Boris Bernaskoni discuss their careers and some of their latest projects. Following from this there will be a chaired conversation examining the ongoing legacy of the avant garde and the social role of contemporary architecture.
