Chicago, IL - Graham Foundation
April 24 - July 25, 2015
Presented by the Graham Foundation, Lina Bo Bardi: Together was an exhibition that paid tribute to the work and legacy of twentieth-century, Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi. Featuring new works by artist Madelon Vriesendorp, filmmaker Tapio Snellman, and photographer Ioana Marinescu, the program sought to inspire new conversations around Lina Bo Bardi’s work.
2. Frank Gehry
Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
September 13, 2015 - March 20, 2016
LACMA's big feature exhibiiton Frank Gehry presents a comprehensive examination of Gehry's extraordinary body of work from the early 1960s—he established his firm in Los Angeles in 1962—to the present, featuring over 200 drawings, many of which have never been seen publicly, and 65 models that illuminate the evolution of his thinking. The exhibition is currently still on display and runs until Sunday, March 20, 2016.

Archtober (ärk’tôbər), New York City’s annual Architecture and Design Month, already celebrated its fifth year. The festival of architecture activities, programs, and exhibitions took place from October 1-31, 2015. This year’s festival theme was “5 Years, 5 Boroughs.”
4. World Architecture Festival 2015
Singapore - Suntec
November 4 - 6, 2015
World Architecture Festival is the world’s largest international architectural event. It includes the biggest architectural awards program in the world, dedicated to celebrating excellence via live presentations to delegates and international juries. WAF 2015 took place this November in Suntec in central Singapore.
5. This Is for Everyone: Design Experiments for the Common Good
New York, NY - Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)

Is design in the digital age—so often simply assumed to be for the greater good—truly for everyone? From initial exploratory experiments to complex, and often contested, hybrid digital-analog states to “universal” designs, This Is for Everyone explores this question with design works from MoMA’s collection that celebrate the promise—and occasional flipside—of contemporary design.
6. Eric Owen Moss + Frank Gehry: You Can’t Rehearse Something You Haven’t Invented Yet

In March, SCI-Arc will hosted a conversation with Frank Gehry and Director Eric Owen Moss to mark the school’s 5th Annual Raimund Abraham Lecture.
Lyngør, Norway
August 11 - 29, 2015
The AA Visiting School Lyngør took place in August on an island off the southern tip of Norway. The program developed the role of the architect as one not only focused on ‘the new’ but on meaningfully responding to the existing. Students studied the relationship between historical precedent and proposed architectural interventions, looking at Lyngør’s distinct built environment as it battles with changing social, environmental, political and cultural currents. The workshop explored key threads of Nordic architecture, as well as those of a small island community.

In April, Rick Joy of Rick Joy Architects presented his work in a public lecture followed by a conversation with Billie Tsien. The lecture was co-sponsored by The Architectural League of New York and the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of The Cooper Union.
9. Design Marfa 2015 Symposium and Home Tour
Marfa, TX
September 18 - 19, 2015
The Design Marfa 2015 Symposium took place on September 18 and 19 in Marfa, Texas and hosted discussions on building and living in a desert climate including both personal and community actions. Topics included Harvesting Rainwater, Marfa’s Multi-Family Housing Competition, Marfa Modular, Earthen Structures, Bikesharing & Community, among many others. The afternoon of Saturday, September 19 offered participants the rare glimpse of 6 diverse private homes in Marfa, ranging from mansion to miniature and new construction to historic adobe.
10. Measure
New York, NY - Storefront for Art and Architecture
August 13 - September 12, 2015
Measure was a New York summer exhibition of 30 drawings by 30 international architects presenting 30 edifices of thought. Storefront’s third annual drawing show sought to find measures, resist measurement, and measure the immeasurable by presenting the real to the fictional and the functional to the symbolic. Measure positioned the medium and the act of drawing as a process by which we seek coherence in data and representation.
