New Dwelling Old Context

Guadalajara's City center has been transformed over the past 100 years with the idea of modernism and progress, but that transformation demolished great architecture. The competition takes place in one of the more degraded sites of downtown area.

The aim is to design dwelling to improve not only the urban image but the quality of life in this semi-abandoned neighbourhood, which was constructed in the late 18th century.

The competition challenges all architects, interior designers and landscape designers to propose a 120-units dwell complex on a particular place: a parking lot where a neoclassic palace was demolished in the 70's.
