For the first time in history, The Czech Center New York will host a showcase of original works created by students of the Faculty of Multimedia communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. The Fresh Design exhibition is a part of the Zlin in New York project, which present the architecture, design and fashion from the Czech city Zlin. The spectacular exhibition, created by 3D Design students under leadership of an accomplished architect Hana Maršíková, will feature unique porcelain and glass works, alongside contemporary accessories, elaborated shoes and fashion pieces. The show will also include sophisticated audiovisual projections created by the students. These highly-talented young people, whose work has been shown in Paris, Milan, Vienna and Hong Kong, are recipients of numerous awards, and they are on track to take their place among the most influential artists of the Czech Republic.

For the first time ever, Czech Center New York invites you to experience the local essence of a trendy small bohemian city – Zlín, Czech Republic, via the multi-site show “Zlín in New York.” Zlín was once called by the NY Times “an architectural gold mine.”
This first-ever comprehensive exhibition devoted to a single region of the Czech Republic will offer a Western audience the chance to gain an understanding and deep appreciation for Zlín‘s rich heritage of history, architecture, art, culture, literature, education, tourism, trade and commerce.
The exhibition continues till July 31, 2008 in various elegant showrooms and galleries in New York City.
