Bustler's top 2016 Venice Biennale picks for May/June

By Bustler Editors|

Friday, May 27, 2016

The 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale is finally here. Directed by 2016 Pritzker laureate Alejandro Aravena, the 15th Biennale puts humanitarian design in the spotlight with its “Reporting from the Front” theme, which aims to bring ongoing global social issues to the center of architectural discourse. Sixty-three countries will showcase their architectural response to the theme in the national exhibition pavilions at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and throughout the richly historic city center of Venice.

Without a doubt, there will be plenty to see in and around the Biennale, which will be open starting May 28 until November 27. Planning on attending and not so sure where to start? For the next few months, Bustler will share our recommendations of national exhibition pavilions and related events that you shouldn't miss. Have a look at our first list that you can use as a starting point for your visit(s). Happy Biennale-ing!
