Architecture Model Competition

Mango Architecture, in collaboration with ArchiVoice, is happy to announce their first in Architecture Model Competition-2021. 'A representation of reality' where a representation is the expression of certain relevant characteristics of the observed reality and where the reality consists of the objects or systems that exist, have existed or may exist.

The competition includes a Prize Money of USD 700 equivalent to INR 50,000 where Top 20 Handmade, Top 20 Machine Made, Top 20 Digital Models, and Top 10 Best Model Presentations will get a chance of media publication on our media partners website and social media handles.

Architecture models have the unique ability to showcase the entire design process in one go. The ability to give you a 360-degree insight into a design process and details related to it.

As we all know, model making has been vital in constructing architectural marvels such as the Church Of The Light by Tadao Ando.

Model making is one of the most important skills to be learned by students. Models can be used as the basis for conceptualizing, communicating, assessing, and realizing design intentions.

Advancements in technology have provided model makers with effective tools and techniques to craft their imagination and help the clients visualize the look and feel of the design. Explorative models, along with drawings of the building, can be used to refine judgments, decision-making, or conveying information, i.e., factors that are at the very core of the architectural design.

Many people believe that 3d Visualization has taken over the field of architecture with architectural models becoming obsolete art.

This competition, therefore, is designed in a way that promotes Unique and Interesting ideas a designer can take to build a model.

Share your experience with architectural models, it can be a   Handmade Model, Machine Made Model, Digital Model either when presenting to clients or brainstorming designs for pitches or architecture competitions.

To have a more diverse set of entries, the jury has decided to keep the choice of project to the participants. You can select any Building Type (Institutional/commercial/residential, interiors, etc.) for the competition.

Participants submitting old design project models or new models have freedom of theme selection, area selection, Scale of the building/site, Proportion of the built form to open space, areas, and all the aspects of functionality, are left to the participants.

Prizes:

• Total Prize money of $ 750 equivalent to INR 50,000 approx will be awarded to the top 3 winners. 
• E-Certificate of Achievement.
• Interview
• Media Publication
