Design Stories-Let's Narrate Stories

(For National Participants)

Stories are the simplest form of narrative since not everyone can understand your complex design schematics; stories are the right way to reach the public.

Presenting ArchValor's one-of-a-kind competition, in which you have to synthesize your traditional and contemporary understanding to come up with a design story. The site is located in the hush and rush area of Chandani Chowk in Delhi, India and it has a site area of around 5000sqft.

Choose the building typology and convey your thoughts through a maximum of two sketches and 500 words. Let it be the finest design from the core of your imagination. Designate characters within the building. Build a story revolving in and around the building. Let your thoughts flow.

(For International Participants)

Choose the building site of around 5000sqft. The site should be located in any traditional hush and rush area of your city and along with that also choose the building typology. Convey your thoughts through a maximum of two sketches and 500 words. Let it be the finest design from the core of your imagination. Designate characters within the building. Build a story revolving in and around the building. Let your thoughts flow.

Submission Guidelines:-

- Submissions are open to all students and architects writing in English. International submissions are welcome. 

 - Only one entry per participant is allowed.

 - The story may be accompanied by one to two sketches. 

 - Each story should not exceed 500 words. 

 - The entry along with the registration screenshot should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line Design Stories, Let’s Narrate Stories-Category(Student Or Professional) in a word document with 12 pt., Time New Roman Font.

 - The submission should be an original work of the entrant and will go through a plagiarism test. 

 - We will announce the winners in the last week of August 2022 on all our social media pages.

Selection Criteria:-You would be evaluated on various criteria,

(a)Your selection of the building typology

(b)Your selection of characters

(c) Your storyline

(d) Your concluding paragraph

(e) Your love for your story
