Large Roof House

This year's 50th edition theme is "Large Roof House”. What does "large," "roof," and "house" conjure up in your mind, and what kind of architecture can you imagine?

The word "big" in this sense should not only be limited to the physical size of the roof. We encourage you to take it as a metaphor for a social grouping on various scales- even as a grouping on the scale of the earth. The “roof” is the archetype of architecture, shelter from wind, rain, and sun. If so, then what does the "big roof" protect? What kind of space could be spread out around it?

First Prize( one ): 1,000,000 JPY
Second Prize( one ): 500,000 JPY
Third Prize( one ): 300,000 JPY
Merit Prize( eight ): 100,000 JPY each
(Total prizes amount: ￥2,600,000. All above prize money includes income tax)
