New Practices New York is a biennial juried portfolio competition sponsored by the New Practices Committee of the AIA New York Chapter. The competition identifies firms with unique and innovative strategies in both projects and practices. Architecture and design firms founded since 2004 and located within the five boroughs of New York City are encouraged to submit a practice narrative and a mini-portfolio of built, un-built, or theoretical work.
AWARD:
- Recognition with the New Practices New York award
- A stipend for an installation and exhibition at the Center for Architecture
- Media exposure through media sponsor The Architects Newspaper
- The opportunity to participate in promotional symposia and lectures
- A one-year membership in the AIA New York Chapter
- Access to the AIA New York Chapter’s New Practices Committee, a successful and engaging platform for young practices in New York
