Student Design Challenge

You are the designers of the future. Go build something.

You sketch all over napkins and paper scraps. You think about how you could have designed the latest gadget just a little bit better. You can’t wait to design your ultimate, green, dream home. Join the Autodesk® Student Design Challenge, it’s the perfect way to share those masterpieces with the rest of the world. It’s also a chance to get your work in front of an international panel of industry and Autodesk experts. And, of course, there are fantastic prizes for the selected winners. For bragging rights and the chance to win great prizes, go build something!

First Place Prize Packs will be awarded to the best design in each of the five main categories:

* Xbox 360 Game Console
* Full version of Maya® 2008
* Profile on Autodesk.com and in the online Autodesk Student Magazine

One Grand Prize will be awarded for the best overall design among the first place winners in each category, and one will be awarded for the best sustainable design from the bonus category:

* First Place Prize Pack
* $200 (USD) Visa Gift Card* (or local currency equivalent)
* Winning designer awarded a contract with Disruptive Media Publishers, the leading independent publisher of gamer themes on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace

Contest Guidelines

* You must be a member of the Autodesk Student Engineering & Design Community to enter the contest. If you aren’t already, register today and get started downloading free* software to create your winning designs.
* Designs, including ALL OF THE REQUIRED files, must be submitted at this website before 11:59 PST, June 15, 2008. (To submit your design for the bonus “Sustainable Design” category, simply check the appropriate box during the submission process and provide the required description of your work.)  If you have large files and are having trouble uploading them via the submission tool, you can also send us a CD/DVD with your design—find out how.
* This Contest is open to individuals in the United States, Canada, Austria, Germany Spain, France, United Kingdom, Poland, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Russia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Brazil, India, Japan, China, ASEAN member countries, Korea, New Zealand, and Australia but excluding residents of Florida, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, and the Province of Quebec.
