3rd Annual IIDA New England Student Scholarship

The IIDA New England Chapter is proud to offer this scholarship to any Rhode Island Junior or Senior working toward a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design. Open to Rhode Island residents studying nationally or internationally.

PURPOSE
To provide recognition and to reward outstanding Interior Design students.  To encourage creative thinking, exciting ideas and techniques in the design and furnishings of interior spaces.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entrant must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited Interior Design Program working toward their Bachelor Degree and will be entering their junior year or senior year.  Submitted project must be a school project not work or internship related.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Submissions will be judged for appropriateness of the design solution, as well as the creativity in problem solving and material selection.  The jury consists of practicing Interior Designers in Rhode Island.  The jury reserves the right not to select a winner from the entries if none of the entries meet the minimum criteria.  The decision of the jury is final.

AWARDS
The results will be published in IIDA New England’s printed publications and posted on IIDA NE website.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Entries must be post-marked no later than: NOVEMBER 28, 2008.  Decisions will be made in December, 2008.
