TWOPAGES X Design Contest 2026: Curtain As Art

TWOPAGES invites designers, artists, students, and creative practitioners to participate in the 2026 TWOPAGES X Design Contest, a global platform for creative collaboration exploring the expressive potential of curtain design.

With the theme Curtain As Art, this year’s contest asks participants to design a curtain concept that works like art: bold or quiet, abstract or narrative, traditional or experimental, but always intentional. The competition encourages entrants to consider curtains not simply as functional interior elements, but as surfaces for storytelling, spatial atmosphere, emotion, movement, and identity.

Established in 2025, the TWOPAGES X Design Contest is a platform for bridging design, craftsmanship, and real-world production. Guided by the core value “Make Imagination Happen,” the contest reflects TWOPAGES’ broader vision to explore how window treatments can inspire lifestyle, evoke emotion, and express identity.

Theme: Curtain As Art

The 2026 theme positions the curtain as more than a backdrop. It can become a gesture, a boundary, or a narrative in motion. Participants are invited to approach the curtain as a canvas, a soft architectural element, and an emotional design medium.

Submissions may explore concepts such as:

• Curtain as canvas: a surface for storytelling through graphic, abstract, or poetic design
• Curtain as architecture: a soft structure that shapes movement, proportion, rhythm, and spatial experience
• Curtain as emotion: a living element that filters light, defines mood, and evolves throughout time

• 1st Place: $10,000, 1 winner

Eligibility

The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above, regardless of gender or professional background. Participation is free.

Submission Requirements

Participants are asked to submit original, theme-aligned curtain design concepts. Submissions should be digital and may include original pattern designs, design inspiration, concept statements, material references, and interior mockups or renderings.

• Original pattern design

• Interior mockups or renderings
• At least 10 distinctive design works or SKUs focused on the theme
• Digital static 2D image files in square format, such as PDF, JPEG, or TIFF
• Minimum resolution of 300 dpi
• Design patterns noted with a specified repeat unit, such as 10 x 10 inches, with seamless tiling demonstrated

Hand-drawn sketches are permitted for initial drafts, but final submissions must be digital. Renderings may be included, and physical swatches may be requested where applicable.

• June 14–July 12: Top 10 semi-finalists public showcase
• July 15: Top 3 finalists announced
• July 16–mid September: Production and collaboration phase
• Mid September: Finale ceremony

How to Enter

1. Create an account to access the submission portal.
2. Prepare your submission materials, including original pattern design, design inspiration, concept statement and material reference, and interior mockups or renderings.
3. Submit your entry through the online portal and ensure all required materials are included.
4. Check for updates. Finalists and winners will be announced through official channels and by email.

Evaluation and Jury

Submissions will be evaluated based on the listed evaluation criteria. The jury panel will be officially announced during the preliminary review stage in 2026.

Commercial Use and Production

Only winning designs may move into production, and only with the designer’s full agreement. Designers retain all rights unless otherwise discussed.
