Tamayouz Excellence Award warmly invites architecture, urban design, urban planning, architecture technology, and landscape design students from around the globe to participate in the prestigious 2026 International Graduation Projects Award. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your innovative projects and gain international recognition. An independent, international jury of experts will meticulously review all submissions to select the winners, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation process.
Awards & Opportunities
- MSc Scholarships: Two winners will receive a scholarship for a two-year MSc program at the Polytechnic University of Milan.
- Fourteen Internships: Two winners will receive a three-month paid internship at Dewan Architects & Engineers in Dubai, and Two winners will receive a three-month paid internship with AJi Group at one of their offices (location to be determined by AJi Group) and Ten graduates will receive 2 months paid internship at Manhal Habbobi Consultants, all gaining hands-on industry experience.
- Special Recognitions: Awards will also be presented for the Supervisor of the Year and University of the Year, celebrating excellence in mentorship and education.
Aims and Objectives
Tamayouz is an award that fosters connections, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among emerging architects. Through its events, it creates opportunities for learning, mentorship, and professional growth. The award showcases outstanding graduation projects globally, celebrating architectural innovation and diverse talent. By recognising young architects early in their careers, Tamayouz boosts their confidence and highlights their potential to shape the future of architecture. It provides a platform for collaboration and mutual support, nurturing the next generation of architects and reinforcing their role in advancing the built environment and positively impacting their communities.
Eligibility
- Graduation Timeline: To participate, you must be an individual or part of a team scheduled to present your project or graduate from your educational institution between 01/09/2025 and 15/08/2026. Proof of your status as a final-year undergraduate student will be required if you reach the finalist stage.
- Project Requirements: We welcome submissions of projects completed in your final year of study. Eligible projects include graduation projects and any other design projects undertaken in the final year, regardless of their nature, program, budget, or scale.
- Multiple Submissions Policy: If you intend to submit multiple projects, please remember that each project must be registered independently. This ensures a fair and organised review process.
- Restrictions on Previous Participants: If you or any member of your team registered for the Tamayouz International Award in the previous cycle, you are not eligible to participate in this year’s competition. This applies regardless of whether a project was submitted previously.
- Eligibility for Recent Graduates: Graduates from the academic year spanning 01/09/2024 to 01/09/2025, who did not participate in the last award cycle, are eligible to enter this year. Please be aware that a “Late Registration Fee” will be required instead of the standard registration fee. Make sure to select the appropriate registration option on our website.
Submission Deadline
The submission deadline is the 16th of August 2026 [6 PM GMT]. Participants will be responsible for the submission of their proposals within the corresponding deadlines, and no proposals will be accepted after the deadline.
Rules and Regulation
- Participation is anonymous; use only your Unique Registration Number for identification on submissions.
- English is the mandatory language for all submissions.
- Registration fees are tiered: $45 Early (until 30/04), $55 regular (until 31/07), $65 last chance (up to the submission deadline) and all fees non-refundable.
- Registration for the current year cannot be deferred to the next year for any reason.
- Contact with jury members regarding your submission is strictly prohibited.
- Tamayouz Excellence Award reserves the right to modify competition schedules as needed.
- Submissions not adhering to competition rules or requirements will be disqualified without notification.
- Use the specified Tamayouz Templates for your graduation project submissions.
- We understand how valuable feedback can be for all participants. However, due to the overwhelming number of submissions we receive, we are only able to provide individual feedback to projects that reach the shortlist stage.
- Tamayouz may review submissions on an ad-hoc basis to ensure regulation compliance.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited; all submissions will be checked for originality.
- By participating, you agree to grant Tamayouz the right to publish, exhibit, and promote your submission for competition-related purposes.
Regulation on AI Use:
Participants may use AI tools in a supportive capacity during the design process. AI-generated content must not replace the participant’s own authorship, spatial reasoning, or design decision-making. Entrants are fully responsible for ensuring the originality and intellectual integrity of their submissions. Tamayouz reserves the right to request clarification or conduct a design verification interview with shortlisted teams to confirm authorship.
Disqualification
Award submissions will be automatically disqualified if:
- Any direct or indirect communication is attempted with a jury member or anyone involved in preparing and organising the award in an effort to influence the evaluation process.
- Submissions are received after the specified deadline. Participants are responsible for converting the deadline to their local time zone.
- Submissions include any marks, logos, names, or identifiable information in the project files or embedded metadata that could reveal the author(s)’ identity.
- Submissions fail to comply with the detailed submission requirements and rules outlined in the award brief. Participants must carefully follow the provided guidelines.
- Submissions contain plagiarised content. This includes cases where plagiarism is identified before or after the announcement of results, whether through internal review or external complaints.
- Posters and presentation boards that do not fully comply with the submission requirements and official templates will be disqualified, regardless of the quality of the work.
