2026 European Photography Awards

The European Photography Awards welcome photographers from worldwide nations ready to hone their photography skills and their extraordinary takes on diversity, whilst portraying the majestic cultures passed down for generations.

Recognising exquisite and artistic content, the awards honours vast arrays of genres in the photographic medium, extending the reaches of your talents all across the globe. No matter your status in the industry, your visualisations of the world and all it encases are what the awards celebrates. Unearth limitless possibilities while embarking on an outlandish voyage across the vast continent pieced together by countless diverse countries, where they combine to form a grandeur landmass.

Categories:
European Photography Awards Categories are divided into 13 award programs: Europe Photography, Architecture Photography, Black & White Photography, Commercial Photography, Editorial Photography, Fine Art Photography, Nature Photography, People Photography, Advertising Photography, Fashion Photography, Film Photography, Minimalist Photography, and Special Categories.

Eligibility:
The European Photography Awards extends its’ open arms to worldwide individuals over the age of 18, regardless of where you come from. You do not have to necessarily come from Europe to be a part of the family. The awards are available on 3 primary levels, categorised under professional, amateur, and student photographers. With full control over your artistic presentation, the awards signify the beginning of an era.

*All photography genres are acceptable, under the circumstances that it was taken within the past 5 years, starting from 2021. There are no limitations on your work, be it a photo of spontaneous moments or polished images.

Submission Requirement:
➜ Entries must be produced within the last FIVE (5) calendar years up through the final deadline.
➜ All entries must be submitted for judging exactly as published or implemented and may not be modified for the competition. The European Photography Awards may request proof of initial production and/or publication date.
➜ The awards reserve the right to re-categorise incorrectly classified entries.
➜ Judges reserve the right to withhold an award in a category if submissions do not meet their expectations.

Entry Brief:
It is recommended that you keep your synopsis to within 350 words. We suggest you utilise this section of your entry to elaborate on the piece as well as the creativity and originality of your idea. The brief should strengthen your entry, as well as providing the jury a better understanding of your project. A written translation or adaptation must accompany non-English entries.

Image Submission:
The submissions should be saved in a flattened JPEG or JPG format. (keep them under 4MB, 1,200px wide is preferable, 300dpi, RGB).

Winning Level:
There are FIVE (5) levels of achievement in the competition:
➜ European Photographer of the Year
➜ European Category Winners of the Year (13 Categories)
➜ Platinum Winner (85-100 points)
➜ Gold Winner (70-84 points)
➜ Silver Winner (50-69 points)


Judging:
Judging is blind. All entrant information is removed from entries to prevent bias/conflict of interest.

The jury panel comprised of experienced professionals in their field and industry, including creative and art directors from international agencies, established photographers, photo editors, art collectors, educators or business owners from around the world, bringing industry knowledge and category-specific skill sets to evaluate every entry.

Evaluation Criteria:
Each submission is judged of its’ own accord, on a score scale of 1-100. The criteria are as follows:
➜ Originality (Uniqueness of Concept / Expression of Theme)
➜ Creativity (Storytelling / Mood)
➜ Technical Execution (Composition, Colour, Lighting, Exposure & Focus)
➜ Subject Matter / Relevancy to Category Topic
➜ Overall Impression / Wow Factor

*Awards will not be presented to entrants with an average score under 60.

The European Photography Awards and International Awards Associate’s decision are final in its sole discretion and binding in relation to all matters relating to Competitions and may not be subject to any discussions or correspondence.

Results Announcement:
All winners for 2026 will be announced on 14 Aug 2026 via European Photography Awards official page. All registered participants can then login to view all winning entries.
