Garbo Talks: A Special Exhibition Honoring Greta Garbo’s Love for Design

"Gimme a whisky, ginger ale on the side, and don't be stingy, baby!” Such are the immortal words of silent film star Greta Garbo in her first speaking role. Galerie56 founder Lee Mindel, has always been inspired by Garbo’s iconic work, and the legendary actress' affinity for Scandinavian design and secret passion for designing rugs. Garbo Talks is part homage, part celebration, and part Modernist retrospective. The curated exhibit features pieces Mindel and Paul Jackson handpicked from the latter’s renowned eponymous Stockholm gallery, Jackson Design—all Garbo-inspired in reds, oranges, and pinks. Now available for discerning collectors. The exhibition will be on view through January 22nd.
