BuffCon

Thursday, Sep 19, 20244 PM - 8 PMEDT

The New York Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA NY) is excited to announce the 9th Annual BuffCon, a premier interior design trade show that brings together industry professionals and enthusiasts. Set for Thursday, September 19th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Powerhouse by Rich Entertainment Group (140 Lee Street, Buffalo, NY 14210), this event will showcase a dynamic array of exhibitors presenting the latest trends, innovative products, and cutting-edge technologies in interior design.

BuffCon presents a unique opportunity for the region to explore innovative products and designs, drawing inspiration originally cultivated at NeoCon to rejuvenate the New York state design community. The event fosters cultural connections, enabling designers to reconnect with colleagues and strengthen their networks within the community.

Set in a renovated industrial building, the venue features abundant natural light, vaulted ceilings, and a design that celebrates the city’s rich history—providing an ideal backdrop for the event. Attendees can network with leading designers, suppliers, and manufacturers while gaining valuable insights through seminars, workshops, and live demonstrations. BuffCon serves as a dynamic platform for discovering fresh ideas, exploring creative solutions, and staying ahead of the industry's ever-evolving landscape.

“The design community in Buffalo has demonstrated extraordinary resilience,” said Brittany Nowicki, Director of Buffalo City Center. “Since BuffCon’s inception in 2015, we’ve nearly tripled our attendance and expanded our roster of representatives. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, we’ve made a strong comeback and continue to deliver an event that our community eagerly anticipates year after year. It’s particularly exciting to see our sister chapters and communities from Rochester, Albany, and Syracuse join us, further strengthening our design connections and driving growth across the region.”

This year at BuffCon, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of products and finishes, from furniture and accessories to lighting that emphasizes flexibility, with a fun emphasis on rich textures and romantic finishes. Notable vendors and sponsors include QLS Lighting, Salesmaster/Roppe, VS America, Best Tile Distributors, Haworth, Interface/Nora, Sit On It Seating, and Mannington, each showcasing the latest in design innovation. Registration is available via Eventbrite here.
