FULL RHINO COURSE ( 8 sessions )
Description: This course offers a brisk paced and comprehensive introduction to Rhino 3d. It is primarily focused on developing proficiency in 3d modeling, while also exposing hidden tips and tricks. Each week focuses on a specific theme and students gain out of class practice with optional assignments. Classes are small and students receive individual attention with opportunity for help with specific questions and interests.

Topics:
Week 1 : Precision modeling
Week 2 : Organic modeling
Week 3 : Cross platform workflows
Week 4 : Advanced Techniques

Schedule:

Option 1 : July 1st-26th Tuesdays & Fridays 6:30p-9:30p

Option 2: August 2nd-26th Tuesdays & Fridays 6:30p-9:30p


BASIC RHINO WORKSHOP ( 2 sessions )

Description: This course delivers a concise introduction to rhino and an overview of fundamental skills for creating and editing geometry. No prior knowledge required.
Bring PC laptop with rhino installed (or email us to provide one)

Topics:
• Overall familiarity with the Rhino interface

• An introduction to Rhino geometry types

• Essential skills for creating and editing geometry

• Precision modeling using snaps, guides, and cplanes

• Modeling with curves and surfaces

• Modeling with solids

• Organizing objects via layers

Schedule:

Option 1 : July 11th M & + July 14th Th 6:30p-9:30p

Option 2 : Aug 8th M & Aug 11th Th 6:30p-9:30p


ADVANCED RHINO WORKSHOP ( 2 sessions )
Description: An in-depth look at creating and editing complex geometry, customization and various workflow techniques. Basic familiarity with Rhino required. Bring PC laptop with rhino installed (or email us to provide one)

Topics:
• Interface customization

• Curve and Surface continuity

• Deformation tools

• Intro to macros and scripting

• Surface evaluation

• Working with Blocks (creating and importing)

• Working with meshes

• Ability to import and export in various file formats

Schedule:

Option 1 : July 18th M & July 21st Th 6.30-9.30pm

Option 2 : Aug 15th M & Aug 18th Th 6.30-9.30pm


GRASSHOPPER ( 2 sessions )
Description: introduction to parametric modelling with Grasshopper. Build various parametrically responsive systems and explore generative design with grasshopper. Basic familiarity with Rhino required.

Topics:
• Grasshopper components and Interface

• Managing data

• Essential concepts

• Creating parametric assemblages

• Patterning strategies

• Parametric Fabrication

• Populated surfaces and reactive components
