A week of activities that reinforce connections between design and the community through walking tours, museum visits, and art and design projects. Summer studios run Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm at the Center for Architecture in Greenwich Village. The fee for each studio week is $400. Classes are limited to 16 students. August 3 – 7 Studio IV: The Art of Architecture For students entering grades 3 - 6 In this studio, we’ll explore architecture from an artist’s perspective, focusing on the lively and humorous work of the great Pop artists Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg and Roy Lichtenstein. Explore your own creative side as you transform their artistic ideas into new architectural designs. Projects will include soft sculptures, comic books and photo collages.
