Design Chicago - Annual Interior Design Fair at The Merchandise Mart

The Merchandise Mart Design Center™ brings together the design industry’s leading professionals September 30-October 2, 2009 at Design Chicago, the fourth annual interior design fair at The Merchandise Mart. Design Chicago showcases the latest trends in interior design, featuring renowned keynote speakers, innovative CEU accredited seminars and new product introductions from more than 50 Design Center showrooms. The three-day event welcomes the Midwest’s leading design professionals including designers, architects, builders, developers and many more. On Wednesday, September 30 from 4-6 pm, The Merchandise Mart Design Center will honor three rising star designers as this year’s Ones to Watch, recognized and decided by the Design Center’s leading showrooms. This fabulous cocktail reception will feature an award ceremony and networking among industry leaders and professionals. Additionally, A.S.I.D., METROPOLIS and The Merchandise Mart Design Center will host Student Programming on Friday, October 2 from 10am to 3pm. The day’s events include a panel presentation, an ASID luncheon, a special presentation by METROPOLIS editor Susan Szenasy and portfolio reviews hosted in the Design Center showrooms.
