The group exhibition Never Very Far Apart brings together six projects that explore the social production of space as a vehicle for renewed thought and action. Working in a variety of mediums, including painting, video, performance and installation, the artists in this exhibition contemplate new grounds for alternate convergences and future crossings that reinvent and reimagine the contexts in which they live and work. As a constellation of projects, the exhibition explores questions of legibility as it charts the distance between perception and presence. Curated by REDCAT curatorial assistant Ryan Inouye, the exhibition features new and recent works by Terry Chatkupt (Los Angeles), Michelle Dizon and Camilo Ontiveros (Los Angeles), Benj Gerdes and Jennifer Hayashida (New York), Adriana Lara (Mexico City), Elana Mann (Los Angeles), and RJ Messineo (St. Louis). Thurs Apr 29–Sun June 27 | Tues–Sun, noon–6 pm or intermission Opening reception: Wed Apr 29 | 6–9 pm Artists' talk: 6:30 pm Free REDCAT
