Bjarke Ingels is the founding partner of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), which he started in 2005. Recent and current projects include the Danish Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, the Danish Maritime Museum, and the recently-awarded Waste-to-Energy Plant in Copenhagen that doubles as a ski slope for the city's residents and visitors.
