Non-profit organization Ammodo has revealed the winners of the second edition of its Architecture Award. The program recognized 26 architectural projects for their contributions to socially and ecologically responsible architecture.
The winning projects were chosen from 168 entries submitted from over 60 countries. They represent a wide array of practices, including established studios, community-led initiatives, and collectives. This year’s selection ranges from a community space in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and a library in rural China to adaptive housing in Austria.
Together, the awarded projects address shared concerns, including adaptive reuse, urban rehabilitation, the transmission of traditional crafts and knowledge, and the restoration of ecological systems.
“The Ammodo Architecture Award 2025 celebrates not a style, but an ethics: architecture as careful stewardship, collective endeavour and patient repair of our social and ecological fabric,” said Andrés Jaque, committee member and Columbia University GSAPP Dean and Professor.
Each recipient will receive a grant to support the further development of their projects. Look below to see the complete list of the 2025 Ammodo Architecture Award winners.
