The 2014 Philippe Rotthier European Prize for Architecture reveals the winners

For the 10th edition of the triennial Philippe Rotthier European Prize for Architecture, proposals worldwide responded to this year's theme of examining the multi-faceted relationship between architecture and natural/urban landscapes.
Out of 134 submitted entries, which included 18 European countries and 8 non-European ones, the jury awarded 28 projects. From that group, three laureates and a Special Jury Prize were selected:

Grand Prize for the Best Intervention in a Built Landscape (€15,000): Cooking school in a former slaughterhouse in Medina Sidonia, Spain

Five Honorable Mentions include BIG and emerging practices like ETAT ARKITEKTER, while the remaining projects received Nominations.
All winning projects will be exhibited at the Fondation pour l'Architecture (CIVA) in Brussels from Oct. 19 to Nov. 23, 2014.
