Arcaid Images honors the most outstanding architectural photographers in the annual Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards, which highlights expertise and creativity in the unique medium of architectural photography. An esteemed jury judges the photos based on composition, sense of place, atmosphere, and use of scale.
Fernando Guerra, the overall-winning Photographer of the Year 2015, had quite a presence in this year's competition. Out of the 20 winning photos, four of them were his. But what won him the $3,000 grand prize was his vibrant photo of the EPFL Quartier Nord in Ecublens, Switzerland, designed by Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés. He was announced as the winner during the recently concluded World Architecture Festival in Singapore. Last year, Hufton + Crow won the award with their interior photograph of Zaha Hadid Architects' Heydar Aliyev Centre.
