93 schemes across the capital have been shortlisted for RIBA's 2018 London Awards, chosen from a total of 208 entries. The selection contains a number of high-profile works including projects from renowned firms Foster + Partners, Duggan Morris, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, AL_A, and 2017 Stirling Prize winners, dRMM architects. Prolific studios, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and Hawkins\Brown also find themselves, among others, with numerous projects—four and five, respectively—in the running this year.
All of these buildings are potential RIBA Regional Award winners. If they are successful, they will be considered for a RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in June. The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize, for the new best building of the year, will be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning buildings in July and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
