This week's picks for London architecture and design events

After last week's heat, the city is cooler over the next few days, nevertheless, make the most of the spring weather and the long evenings with this week's events.

This week is the last chance to catch the seventh edition of Sculpture in the City, which is a great activity for the longer evenings.

UNIQLO TATE LATES | 27 April

Tate Lates are always well attended, and April is set to be no exception with activities set around the theme of 'creativity in learning'. With a panel talk on leading creativily, lectures on skillsets, author talks, and the usual mix of workshops and music, there's plenty to entertain on a Friday night.

Practice Documents of Contemporary Art | 26 April

'Practice' is an incredibly important word in the architectural, design, and art fields. This launch event of 'Practice' will see artist Kader Attia and philosopher Nina Power, join co-editors Marcus Boon and Gabriel Levine to examine the use of the word 'practice'.

Croydon's First Official Street Art Walking Tour | 28 April

Croydon is a quick journey from central London and has some fantastic new developments and urban initiatives to keep a visitor busy. This tour of the recent street art and graffiti to have landed is a great way to see this changing town.

EEFF 2018: Brasília: Life After Design + Panel (London Premiere) | 26 April

This London Premiere of 'Brasilia: Life After Design' looks at what it is like to live in someone else's idea, in this case Oscar Niemeyer's utopian Brasilia. Director Bart Simpson will join a panel after the screening to discuss the legacy of such modernist projects, including UK based parallels like The Barbican and Robin Hood Gardens.

Rookeries, Railways & Radicals – Architecture Down The Fleet River | 28 April

This walking tour will trace the route of the buried River Fleet, looking at the architecture, history, and landscape linked to this hidden waterway. The walk from The London Ambler forms part of the successful spring walk programme.
