Harvard GSD - Wheelwright Prize 2021
Register/Submit Deadline: Sunday, Jan 31, 2021

"The Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) is pleased to announce the 2021 cycle of the Wheelwright Prize, an open international competition that awards 100,000 USD to a talented early-career architect to support new forms of architectural research. The 2021 Wheelwright Prize is now accepting applications; the deadline for submissions is Sunday, January 31, 2021. This annual prize is dedicated to fostering expansive, intensive design research that shows potential to make a significant impact on architectural discourse."

Arnold W. Brunner Grant
Register/Submit Deadline: Monday, Feb 1, 2021

"This grant furthers advanced study in any area of architectural investigation that will effectively contribute to the knowledge, teaching, or practice of the art and science of architecture. The proposed investigation is to result in a final written work, design project, research paper, or other forms of presentation."

Graham Foundation: Grants to Organizations
Register/Submit Deadline: Thursday, Feb 25, 2021

"Overall we are most interested in opportunities which enable us to provide critical support at key points in the development of a project or career. For organizations, our priorities are to: Assist with the production and presentation of significant programs about architecture and the designed environment in order to promote dialogue, raise awareness, and develop new and wider audiences. Support them in their effort to take risks in programming and create opportunities for experimentation. Recognize the vital role they play in providing individuals with a public forum in which to present their work. Help them to realize projects that would otherwise not be possible without our support."

Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Apr 23, 2021

"The Tuttle Fellowship supports graduate students and emerging professionals seeking licensure, increasing their awareness of the needs and nature of healthcare facilities, attracting talented young architects and students to the field and advancing the knowledge of planning and design for healthcare environments. Awards are typically from $2,000 – $10,000."

Related: For the AAH Foundation Fellowships (J Armand Burgun Fellowship, Griffin/McKahan/Zilm Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning & Design, and The George J. Mann, AIA Travel Prize) click here. The application deadline is also April 23, 2021.

2021 Lyceum Fellowship - Reimagining the Visitor Experience - The Ames Estate
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, May 14, 2021

"When founded in 1891 by landscape architect Charles Eliot, The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) name was much better understood. The term 'reservation' was used by Eliot to describe his own notion of 'park-making.' Unlike Frederick Law Olmsted, whose approach to designing parks was to start from scratch, Eliot favored selecting natural or cultural landscapes that had inherent beauty and interest and then improve, preserve, and open them to the public. The Trustees of Reservations is the first private, nonprofit conservation organization of its kind in the country."
