The international event series Architects, not Architecture (hereafter called AnA) is currently running its Virtual World Tour. The iconic format offers the rare opportunity to gain insights into the personal and professional lives of world-famous architects. Following the structure of its physical events, each time two architects share their intellectual biographies as well as the origins of the ideas and inspirations behind their architectural work. 

Being restricted by measures to condemn the pandemic, AnA moved its events, which are usually limited to selected European cities, online thereby making the inspiring lectures and architecture conversations available to a global audience.

Mexico City has always been a cultural hub that has served as a pioneer and paved the way for what is architecturally possible. Enrique Norten and Gabriela Carrillo are two of those visionaries that have shaped Mexico and a great number of other cities around the world. Register now for free for the upcoming event taking place on Thursday, May 20, 2021, live from 1 pm – 2:30 pm CDT, to get to know these brilliant minds on a personal level and learn about their sources of inspiration.

Both architects are known for their wide variety of projects ranging from cultural institutions to city infrastructure. With a generation gap between them, they both have developed distinctive world views which were greatly influenced by the societal and political changes of the times they grew up in.
