UIA and UN Habitat unveil finalists for the UIA 2030 Award to showcase sustainability

The International Union of Architects (UIA) and UN Habitat have unveiled the finalists for the inaugural UIA 2030 Award, recognizing projects that “contribute to the delivery of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” Now established as a biennial award, the initiative invites architects around the world to submit completed projects which align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 44 finalists for the 2022 award series have been divided into six categories aligning with the UN SDGs, and feature works from high-profile architects such as Bjarke Ingels Group and Dorte Mandrup. One winner will be awarded for each category at an award ceremony at the UN Habitat World Urban Forum in Poland in June 2022.
