In March of 2022, the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology announced the nominated projects for this year's Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP). Following that announcement, the awards program recently released the MCHAP's list of outstanding projects by recognizing 38 built works from 34 firms around the globe.

"The outstanding projects exhibited immense diversity across programs, scales and problems addressed; such solutions manifest across a variety of budgets, scales, and sizes,” shared MCHAP 2022 Jury Chair Sandra Barclay in a statement. Each project ranges in typology and addresses "how people live (housing), how they gather (community projects), how they solve problems (infrastructure and prosaic building types), how they engage the public and offer unique spaces (public spaces and museums), and how they honor history (memorials and historical projects)."
